4 Easy To Make Christmas Decorations

Homemade Christmas decorations are some of the most unique and cost effective. They are also a lot of fun because you can enjoy them with your family.

Stringing Popcorn

If you like strung popcorn, it’s really simple to make. Start with a big bowl of popcorn (unbuttered, of course) and string it piece by piece using a standard sewing needle and thread. Make sure there’s plenty of popcorn because if you’re stringing it for garlands you’re going to need a lot.

Cranberry Stringing

Much like the popcorn stringing method, many people used to string cranberries using a standard needle and thread. Again, make sure there’s plenty to go around if you’re going to use it as garland. Most importantly, and I know it’s tempting, don’t eat all the decorations. Save some for the Christmas tree.

Paper Chains

One of the greatest memories of decorating for Christmas, as a child, has to be the traditional paper chains.

The History of Wedding Favours

Bomboniere, a sweet Italian story

In the Italian tradition the bomboniera is a small object, a memento of the happy day but not only that. The bomboniera is also an expression of the evolution in art and customs.
Originally in the 15th century “sweet boxes” were swapped by the engaged couple’s family as sign of good fortune. In Italy at the end of the 18th century bomboniere began to be used as “wedding souvenirs”. At first they were made mostly with porcelain.
Today bomboniere are proposed in a wide variety of materials and colours. Most bomboniere contain five sugared almonds symbolising health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life. Each bomboniera can be personalised by a small folded card with the bride and groom’s first names and date of the happy occasion.
The “Gift bomboniere ” are normally given by the marrying couple as a memento and as thanksgiving

Wedding Planning Ideas

Wedding Planning Ideas can Be Found Anywhere – So Long As You Keep a Sharp Eye

Not everyone can have a wedding be as beautiful and glamorous as a celebrity. Many people throughout the world do not have millions of dollars with which to pay for family and close friends to travel half way around the globe to attend a ceremony on a secluded beach on a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific. All is not lost, however, as there are plenty of underutilized wedding planning ideas that could be right up your alley if you are willing to give them a few moments of your time.

What Are the Odds of Finding Mr. Right Online?

The odds of finding your “soul-mate” online are a lot better than you may think. It doesn’t happen for everyone, of course, but it can happen for you. The world of internet or online dating has exploded over the last few years.

As our lives become busier and busier we need to make better use of our time and energy in our search for the one man who will make our lives complete.

The old saying, “You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a princess” is no longer true. Why kiss frogs when you can read hundreds of profiles and look at the pictures that go with them for a small monthly fee? That saves time and money…not to mention lip burn.

These are a few good reasons to consider online dating:

(1) There is a wide range of men to choose from. You aren’t limited to

Wedding Rings: What To Look For

Wedding rings have long been a part of the tradition of marriage. The highlight of every wedding ceremony, wedding rings represent a couple’s promise of remaining faithful and loyal to each other all the time of their lives.

The use of wedding rings date as far back as the time of ancient Egypt, when Egyptians create rings from reeds (and other plants that grow on the Nile River) for couples to exchange, symbolizing their never-ending love for each other.

Today, conventional forms of wedding rings are those that consist of precious metals that are usually worn on the ring finger (the 4th finger) of the left hand. This practice stemmed out from the belief of the “hand-heart connection” – that a vein of blood from the 4th finger of the left hand goes directly to the heart. Medical science, however, has already refuted this claim with their discovery of

You Couldn’t Make It Up!

Delivery driver James Higginson got a £30 parking ticket – because his load of inflated balloons was TOO LIGHT.James, 60, was stunned when a jobs-worth traffic warden slapped him with the fine – even though his van was in a loading bay. But pen-pushers in Birkenhead in The Wirral insisted that his cargo was not bulky enough to count as goods unloading.

But yesterday they relented and cancelled the fine. James celebrated by sending the ticket up, up and away tied to a balloon. Wirral Council maintained the bay was for “awkward or heavy items” but said it was “taking a sympathetic view”.

Admittedly balloons may not be heavy but anyone who has ever tried to handle 60 inflated balloons (especially if helium has been used as opposed to air) will no doubt agree with us when we say they can definitely be awkward! Don’t you just love traffic wardens!
